Katlyn Gobleck

Hi I’m Katlyn Gobleck! I have been working as a graphic designer for 6+ years but have had the creative bug my whole life. I am originally from Quincy, Illinois, where I have always been involved with the arts for as long as I can remember. When I was in high school, I joined a leadership team that created the Dream Big in Color Run 5k fun run/walk fundraiser event for the Quincy Public Schools. During this time, I collaborated with other team members to create all of the marketing materials for the run. It was after being given this amazing opportunity to freely create something that I came to realize my love for graphic design and creating a brand identity.

I then attended Lindenwood University in St. Charles, Missouri, where I majored in Interactive Media and Web Design and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in fine arts. I joined the Delta Zeta sorority and was the first woman in my chapter to serve as Design Chair. Sitting in this position, I created many flyers, t-shirts and other marketing materials for my sorority’s special events. During my senior year of college, I was offered an extraordinary opportunity to intern with Edward Jones Corporate Headquarters in St. Louis, Missouri, working in conjunction with Edward Jones’ Firm Analytics team. During my tenure, I worked one-on-one with the team in creating a brand standard and built an interactive brand guideline. I also designed multiple user friendly presentations, email and brochure templates designed specifically for employees to access and use in creating their own presentations.

After graduation, I accepted a job with The Church Online in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania working in tandem with many of their creative departments to produce marketing materials for churches nationwide, and in 2019, I was promoted to Senior Graphic Designer. My role consisted of assisting the managers in daily review of team graphics and providing constructive criticism in order to improve designs. I personally communicated with our clients regarding their project requests, edits and usage of hours while also producing a large amount of design work for web and print myself. In October of 2020, I married the love of my life and created pretty much everything you can think of for our wedding. I hand painted floral designs that were used on our invitations, programs, Snapchat filter and signs. I cut out 250+ lace-detailed sleeves for our invitations and hand-lettered many acrylic signs. I came to recognize my love for creating wedding decor and invitation/card design through this period of time and recently decided to open my own shop (coming soon). Throughout the years, I have continued to produce freelance work and am pursuing it full time now! It is my passion to bring ideas to life through design and I would love the opportunity to work for you!
